Butt fittings
We offer butt-welded fittings made of high density polyethylene. This material is the most popular and most often used in the construction of underground and above ground systems intended for water and gas transmission. It does not show any negative impact on food products and human physiology, which allows its presence in similar systems.
PE polyethylene and its application
For the production of fittings, only PE100 polyethylene with the highest flexibility and thermo-plasticity is used. It is a construction material resulting from the polymerization of ethylene. It is distinguished by high resistance to shock loads and a large range of operating temperatures allowing to carry out work at any time of the year. Butt welding allows the pipeline to be made of only one solid material.
Its use is distinguished by:
-
municipal and industrial installations
- dairies
- cold brine pipelines
- compressed air
- swimming pools
- gas and water distribution networks
- Food industry
- equipment installations and construction
Advantages of butt fittings:
-
High durability
- High abrasion resistance
- Low coefficient of friction
- Resistance to cracking, abrasion, and mechanical damage
- Resistance to corrosive agents found in soil
- Stray current resistance
- Low specific weight
- Ability to effectively damp vibrations
Polyfusion welding
To make the pipeline made of PE, a welding machine with a muff and a polyfusion mandrel is used. With the help of this tool, connecting the tip with individual elements by heating to the right temperature allows you to mechanically press one part into another. The PE butt welding system as well as the welding machine itself have parameters set in such a way as to obtain a uniform, durable connection in the end.
Butt welding
The polyethylene fittings we propose are combined with the use of welding techniques using a special butt welding machine. The butt welding technique is primarily intended for joining pipes and fittings with large diameter dimensions. The welding procedure is based on increasing the temperature of the pipe face and the fitting, and then welding them together using mechanical pressure. This method allows the pipeline to be made of a single joint, which ensures permanent tightness. As a result of the current flowing through it, heat is generated, which results in an increase in the plasticity of the outer surface of the pipe and the inner surface of the fitting. Plastics penetrate each other, and when their temperature decreases, they acquire a uniform structure.
Butt fittings made of PE 100 can be welded in the MFR range (0.2-, 09) g / 10 min with all pipes in accordance with EN 1555 and EN 12201 standards. For DVS 2203-4 weld with MFR value outside the MFR range indicated above , must be determined in advance.
